Four Practical Steps For New Moon Manifesting

Tomorrow on the 7th of April, we will have a powerful new moon in Aries. This particular new moon is also a Super new moon, which gives us an added boost much to our benefit, while we are planting the seeds of our inner longings and heartfelt desires. Yep, it’s that poetic…that important…that powerful.

The new moon of Aries wants us to reach out to mend torn relationships and to reconcile our differences. This can be as simple as letting people know that we can see where they are coming from and that we understand their point of view.

Aries is a Fire sign so we may be feeling a little more assertive and courageous than usual. Impulsivity will be a factor for most and we should all try to be a little more patient and kind for the next 2 weeks.

Because this is the begining of the Astrological New Year, The Aries new moon is a perfect opportunity for manifesting.

I have several rituals for both the full and new moon that I use. Because the timing is perfect, this post will focus on manifesting whatever we desire using the power of the new moon. Some of the moon rituals that I participate in can be either complicated or simple, depending on how I’m feeling and what issues/needs I am focused on. The one I will share with you today can be done by anyone and for this particular ritual there is a low level of both difficulty and supplies needed.

I think it’s important to come up with a ritual that has particular meaning to you, so feel free to alter or change the guidelines included here. One of the first things I do before any new moon or full moon work is to take a sea salt/epson salt bath. It helps to clear any negative energies and sets the tone for ritual work.

I try to do all ritual work outside if possible. There is something magical about being more connected to nature and earth energies that I love and that I feel lends to the authenticity of the work to be done. If being outside isn’t an option, that is perfectly fine. Just choose a peaceful, sacred space where you will not be disturbed. Light a candle as fire is an important element with any moon work.

  1. I always begin by clearing my space and myself using sage. If sage isn’t available to you then incense works just as well. Clearing your mind is easily done with either a bit of meditation or quiet music.

  2. Grounding is the process of settling into your own energy by staying connected to earth’s energy. This is easily achieved with a simple exercise in which you visualize your roots going down into the earth through all of the layers and into the core, and drawing that energy back up again.

  3. Making a wish time! We write these down…always! Writing your desires and wishes makes them intentions and by the physical action of writing we are commiting to doing our part to make these a reality. We are assuming the role of co-creators and opening the universal energies to set our dreams in motion. Be creative with your intentions! Remember, there is no right or wrong way to do ritual work. Draw a picture to go along with your words, write keywords on a stick to be burned at the next full moon, carry your intentions with you in your wallet, keep your list visible as a reminder of the things you are focused on. You can even speak your intentions into a stone or an egg and bury it in the earth. There is no limit to the creative ways to express your deepest wants and desires.

  4. In closing~ it is always a good idea to say your intentions out loud if possible and to also say a heartfelt thank you to the universal energies for hearing your wishes. Extinguish your candle and you are all done!

Be sure to keep your intentions in a place that you can see so they are not forgotten. In the next two weeks we will go over the full moon ritual which will incorporate the list of wishes/goals that we started at the new moon.

Happy intention setting and a very happy new moon in Aries!

Big Love and Happy Wishes,

Shannon

xoxo
